Job Overview:

This position provides the support needed to ensure the timely and accurate assessment of strategic and tactical effectiveness being executed with our customers and consumers. The primary responsibility is to supply relevant and necessary insights (solutions/recommendations), which are gathered from consumption data (IRI), shipment data, spending, and shopper insights for improved decision making capabilities. The position will work closely with the respective brand and customer marketing teams, all in the spirit of equipping our internal and external teams with actionable category insights to positively impact our customer's categories and the brands we represent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides category analyses & advanced consumer insights using a range of syndicated & non-syndicated data sources.
  • Accesses relevant information, interprets results and provides in-depth and advanced interpretation of consumer behavior and category dynamics.
  • Prepares and presents category reviews to include industry and trend analyses, insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collects and organizes disparate pieces of information into a clear and concise business case; presents internally and to customers.
  • Key member on select Innovation projects during all phases to ensure that team has the right facts to make informed decisions as each initiative moves through the New Item process: Examples include providing comprehensive overviews on all categories of interest for ACH to expand into using multiple data sources such as store, panel, Spectra, NPD, etc., supplying inputs for all BASES projects.
  • Creates both generic and retailer specific strong new product selling stories. Customizes as needed.
  • Develops templates and standardized processes that support the team.
  • Provides training to new and existing data users on both technical capabilities (Xlerate), as well as data mining to ensure that all end users are utilizing the data correctly and consistently with the rest of the organization.
  • Manages ASM Category Analyst to create and/or maintain monthly reports and correct any errors.
  • Acts as functional expert on all syndicated databases, measures and data mining for organization, as well as other syndicated data sources that ACH invests in (Spectra, ECRM, etc.).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • 5+ years syndicated data experience. Experience in shelf management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Proficiency in syndicated data base programs/work stations to include Nielsen and/or IRI programs.
