JOB OVERVIEW:

The National Accounts Manager - Kroger is accountable for all ACH branded businesses' category volumes share and sales fundamental goals at the most profitable cost. Also responsible for developing and leveraging key relationships throughout the Kroger Corporate office as well as within each of the 13 divisional offices throughout the country. Manages ASMs retail efforts for Kroger as well as deductions and trade funding for this key customer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General management of ACH Kroger team. Serves as primary contact for Kroger/Advantage ales Team both internally and externally.
  • Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates strategic business plans for Kroger Corporate as well as each individual Kroger Marketing area office. Updates internal and external team on development at Kroger.
  • Manages annual funding within trade spending guidelines to maximize promotional effectiveness at Kroger.
  • Directs and monitors retail conditions and retail pricing at Kroger. To include frequent contact at Kroger Corporate as well as all of the individual Kroger divisions.
  • Managerial responsibilities encompass shared internal and external resources to include: Category Management, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Customer Service, Brokers, and Logistics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years' experience with a minimum of 3+ years of managing managers and/or managing a major corporate chain team (Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, Ahold, WalMart).
  • Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Capable of developing and executing comprehensive strategic business plans that accomplish ACH and Kroger's mutual goals. Possesses strong balance between strategic thinking and tactical planning and execution. Excellent analytical and business management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate ACH and Kroger activities and strategies across all business functions effectively identify and communicate customer and market needs both internally and externally.
  • Complete understanding of how to affect customer profitability across all business functions. Expert in funds management and proactive deduction control.
  • Ability to develop and leverage key relationships at key decision making levels at Kroger, ACH and Advantage Sales & Marketing.
  • Broad based, global thinker who considers the impact of business not only at Kroger, but also throughout the organization
