This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing ACH's subcompany, Anthony's Good's, a 55-60M start-up company. This person will be required to input monthly transactional data into a Quick books general ledger to prepare and maintain the books and key account reconciliations. This position will be primarily responsible for the Anthony's Goods monthly management analysis as required during the normal periodic and annual closing cycles. As a newly created position, this individual will be driving continuous improvement and updating and aligning financial controls with ACH Foods. This position will be instrumental in the development and maintenance of financial policy and procedures for the Anthony's Goods in accordance with IFRS. This position will have the opportunity to present and work directly with Anthony's CEO and Senior Financial Analyst, as well, as the Corporate Controller and CFO of ACH. They will also have primary responsibility to report periodic results to Associated British Foods, ACH's parent company.


  • Reviews and analyzes the general ledger while preparing and maintaining key account reconciliations.
  • Development and maintenance of financial policy and procedures in accordance with International Accounting Standards.
  • Provide monthly management analysis as required during the normal periodic and annual closing cycles.
  • Records recurring and adjusting entries for properly accruing and amortizing Anthony's Goods expenses.
  • Integrate Anthony's Goods reporting into BPC (ACH Foods Management Reporting Tool) and automate close reporting.
  • Participate in long term IT projects to further integrate Anthony's Goods onto ACH's GL System.
  • Participate in ACH projects and assist ACH accounting team as needed.
  • Present Anthony's Goods Results to the ACH Corporate Controller and CFO.
  • Needs to be comfortable implementing and suggesting process improvements as the business grows.
  • Cash accounting and bank account reconciliation and bill payment and approval in Bank of America.
  • Primarily responsible for meeting reporting deadlines to Associated British Foods, parent company of ACH.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years' work-related experience. Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Advanced user of Excel (pivot tables, filters, look-up formulas), proficient user of Word, PowerPoint. Prefer knowledge of QuickBooks, Google Sheets, SAP and BPC software
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Analytical - Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Problem Solving - Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Oral Communication - Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
  • Written Communication - Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Initiative - Asks for and offers help when needed. Willing to identify processes in need of improvement and suggest corrective courses of action.
  • Possible travel to Anthony's Goods; California 10-25%
