Job Purpose

This position is responsible to supervise, analyze, maintain, and revise all product specifications and technical data sheets for ACH Food Companies, Inc. This includes ingredients, products and packaging specifications.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develops and revises ROH, VERP, HALB and FERT specifications and TDS. Completes recipes for new FERTs using existing structure including the completion of specification shells for those materials.
  2. Analyzes and reviews data and reference material to update and revise specifications where needed to ensure consistency, balance cost and ensure safety.
  3. Ensures all specifications are accurate and consistent in SAP Recipe Management Work Bench.
  4. Ensure appropriate data harmonization between specifications and inspections plans.
  5. Manages specification approval process and vendor documentation.
  6. Creates and manages raw material vendor files both paper and DIR in SAP. Includes specification, nutritional information, MSDS, Kosher certificates, allergen information, natural, gluten, non-GMO documentation as well as all other pertinent documents.
  7. SAP Superuser able to provide guidance internally and externally.
  8. Acts as Data Steward. Creates, updates, monitors, and closes Qnotes as appropriate.
  9. Develops & documents Quality specifications for ACH and Co-packed products.
  10. Assists in quality related issues involving vendors and the Procurement Department. Receives and reviews vendor certificates of analysis.
  11. Shall be an SQF practitioner.
  12. Trains new users in SAP as appropriate.
  13. Assists in data collection for cost savings, recalls and "where used".
  14. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

 

Education / Experience / Skill / Competence Requirements

Education:           BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Packaging or related field or 5 years related work experience.

               

Experience:        3-5 Years in Food Industry.

Equipment/Software:   Excel, Word, IBM AS 400, SAP, Tracegains, SharePoint.

               

Certification, Licenses, Registrations:     SQF Practitioner or obtain within 6-9 months.
